I'm shopping for a full tower for a future mod and want to know if anyone has seen or used one of these towers before and what ya' think about it.

I think you should really consider what you want to do to a case before you buy one for your mod.


Will you have enough space for fan controllers, drives, etc...

edit... I think that case is alright, but I'm not a fan of existing holes in the front or sides of my case.. (the little ones)..b l e ch.. drives me nuts....

Looks pretty good aside from the 80mm exhaust under the psu. It's nice and big though, should be a nice blank canvas. I hate those little holes too but I guess that's why there's bondo

the best case you will ever mod will be a 10-dollar case at a garage sale or some crap.

seriously. some of the best cases you will find are old cases. I got a dual-hotswap PSU server tower case for FREE, local PC shop was gonna pitch it and I happened to be at the right place at the right time.

Well I got the case in yesterday. I must say I am very please with the outcome. I didn't know what i was getting for sure as far as plastic or metal. The sides and top are metal, fold out mobo tray. The second 5.25 cage unscrewed as well as the second 3.5 cage for easy removal. I was very pleased with this feature as I wanted to make it roomy enough for lots of air circulation. It does use four 80mm fans which is a slight draw back, but the plan is a budget mod anyway. Project Unicorn is dead! The unicorn was gutted last night so I could start test fitting everything and I've got lots of 120's and 92's so some cutting will begin soon.. I need to start taking photos tonight and get a work log started, but I wanted to pass on the good news and say thanks again. Great buy for 40 bucks!
