As most of you know me i own 2 UFO2 cases and i am a big Star Wars nut, so i been seriously thinking off what i could do with one of the UFO2 cases even though the cases are really nice just the way they are, so what i would like to know is if you had one of these cases what would you do to give it more of a SIFI look such as a Star Wars Theme, I am not very good cutting,bondo,painting or even coming up with a good schematic or a theme or drawing i am not to bad at wiring, yes i will be the first to admit i am not very good at modding, but would not mind learning something from all you pimps and pimpettes that are good at coming up with a good theme.

Now if any of you pimps or pimpettes own one of these cases yourself what would you make it into, including a scheme,painting or any other kind of mods you would try doing with it.

put like a 12"+ CCL in a larger frosted acrylic tube to simulate a light sabor, and get Twizted to wire up a PCB that makes the light pollsate? Then fabricate a handle from some CNC cut alluminum disks / rods.

Send the case to Bill with mnpctech for some sweet air brush work of a epic star wars battle....

You can make it look like the Death Star while it is under construction.

heres a few ideas off the top of my head .....

epn 1 ....a pod racing theme or naboo ...or gungan under water city (good if u wc)

ep II .... clone theme.... basic cutout of clone trooper helmets ... or star destroyers ....laser etched windows
simple colour scheme of white with accents of red yellow blue green depending on clone tropper regiment ,...

ep III ..... a red and black theme ...mostly images of vader ...

ep IV....erm a desert scene from tatooine... lars moisture farm or mos eisley cantina .... cant think of any details ...=s

ep V: the hoth battle scene ... have it painted ice blue with a white flake or something to represent snow ....erm white ccfls.... laser etch window from a battle scene in the movie....
get some custom fan grills with at-ats / snowspeeders / snowtrooper helmets (or anything ;p)
stealth the mobo and otherthings with frosted acrylic ....

ep VI .... a dark green cases with a simple sponged with 2 diff greens to simulate a forest ...
fan grills with something from the movie .. .. laser etch of the ewok village ... or a airbrush of a scene ...
could always build a small model village scene in one side of the case since u hav abundent space....

Thanks you all for the input i been thinking of what beachbum86 had said maybe get 2 lightsabers for handles just have to figure how i would go about hooking them up so they would be sturdy.


beachbum86 i been really seriously thinking of asking bill at mnpctech about doing some sort of star wars airbrush paint theme, i am just not sure which way i should go or chose for one since the cases i have have all ready 3 windows on them ,small one on top and to large ones on each side of the case i do however have this for a window etch theme i had done by Hypercore on my case. I am also looking for some one that can do maybe some 120mm fan grills out of billet aluminum maybe some rebel and imperial themes i need 10 x 120mm fan grills.

Pictures of etch window i have and a picture of the lightsaber i am thing of getting at least 2 of them.

Yup plan on getting 2 lightsabers as soon as some funds are made available, those lightsabers from what i know do not light up , but i think with a few modifications i think i could use 2x 12inch CCL light tubes like beachbum86 said and one being red and the other being green or even blue crossing each other would be i cool idea, nope have not contacted Grumblestiltskin yet to see if he could do them, i am not sure if he does any of his grills in billet aluminum or at least in a stainless metal to give them a shiny look but will be contacting him very shortly to find out if he can.

Ps. i am with you Star Wars has always been my most favorite scifi ever.

I think one of these would be a nice for a fan grill i like the first picture the best.

Yeah I know it is blue that is all i could find for a image it would definitely would not be that color as i looking more for a stainless steel look.
As for Han Solo that is a great idea but i am not very artistic and i do appreciate your comments on it.

i think that u can do half rebel and half imperial insignia ....

im sure u can manage to add the lights to the handles ....that would b soo sick ....
if u get the pcb board which makes em pulsate.... hook up a sound module which will make lightsabers hums and the noise of 2 clashing lightsabers...

i do like the idea of han frozen in carbonite .....
can use the led displays (showing fluctuating bars) for life system monitors ....

or juz add random flashing colour lights like the death star control room :p

I would not cut the case, just add onto it. As a big star wars fan myself I always thought that the empirial cruisers look awesome. So I would consider blending a cruise into the top of the case.

Another option along the same lines would be to have the cloud city emerge out of the top of the case.

Now you had me thinking on that since i have 2 of these cases i could always join the two together one on top of each other or side by side , but i think it look better on top of each other and make one hell of Death Star theme even though it would not be round i think it would look awesome.

making a death star when it was under construction would have to be the sickest mod ever, something i would see Paul Capello do in his next case mod, that would require some amazing work and a nice setup where it hung from you ceiling, and all the wire ran up out of the case, that would not only be the most awesome case of the century but it would be huge, you know how big that case is already, think about a sphere around it. Wow i just amazed myself with a thought

The lightsaber would make a cool handle. I was thinking you could mod
it into an R2 unit or some kind of droid like Sexy mentioned. And I think
the Deathstar idea FeRaL came up with would be awesome. Though
I'm sure it would be difficult. You could probably find some cool stuff to
mod it with at Toys R Us.

You could cover a couple of the square sides up to make it look more like an orb, and then get some plastick model pieces to hange from the inside of the case to look like pipes and what not.
