So I decided to resurrect it.






The theme was 'Short Circuit', I made this when I first came to PR. this is about as old skool as it gets. I mean, this is back in the days of Banana Boy and not too far off from Kyle either. Were talking back in the days of OG PimpRig. GK, Duckwarrior, Digital-World, and Big Akita were running the show. Back to the days of jinx, and pimp joose. AMD had just released the Barton 2500 and wouldn't begin locking them for another year. ATi was unveiling the 9800 Pro. And piss gas was 2.09, and we were bitching back then of skyrocketing gas prices.

The window on the sidepanel swings open like a door to allow access to everything on the fly, be it drives, graphics cards, whatever, without turning a single screw to get in it.

It originally had an AMD Socket A Duron 850 chip but all my AMD stuff is sitting in cases atm and I had all this lying around collecting dust so I said why the hell not let's make something of it.

nothing special but it gets the job of owning noobs in games 5 - 7 years old done well. The slotted 5 1/4 inch cover is from an IBM storage server from the 486 days that I found and it just so happens to fit this case and only this case perfectly. Every other case I have put them in they won't fit. I have 4 or 5 more but I can't find them right off but I'm sure once I start moving stuff this week they will turn up.

BTW is that a Hipro psu in there?

yup. the orignal hipro 235w that was in it. That and the Duron 850, and one of the memory sticks are the sole surviving pieces of the original SC.

That was a great mod back then, and still holds up today...much more apealing to me than alot of decked out pre mods with tons of money thrown at them...DIY rules above all in my book

I am about to go home and get my old K6-2 500 Vodoo 5 rig and mod the case..something I never got around to doing back in the day, but with Digi's help, I'm sure we can do it justice
