Need a little help....

Ok peeps I am on the road to moding my second computer, my file server.

She is a thermaltake soprano.

Not a bad case. So far I have painted her and that is about it. This weekend I started some mods. First I made a blowhole on the top. I never use those usb/firewire ports that are mounted on the top so I used that area to cut a 120mm hole and intall a fan. I painted the fan to match the other paint I used.

I wanted to keep with a red/black theme so I replaced the blue power led with a red one. Then installed some red leds on the inside so they would shine through the fan, giving it a nice red glow. I pinted the sliver accent on the door a ruby red, that turned out ok.

I got a crazy idea to mount some leds under the front door. I have only one led holder so I just did one in the center and used a extra UV led that I had.

Now I am thinking of going purple insted of red........

So here are some pics...any one got any ideas? Should I go with an all red theme (I can replace the UV led in no time). Or a Black and purple.

I am thinking purple because that is one of my fav colors (esp on a babe

) however down the road I want to do flames on the side and I am not sure purple would work well for that.

So ya hit me with your ideas/comments, thanks!

O sorry for the blury one wanted to get the uv so did not use a flash.

I think the black and red looks great so far, I would continue with that theme. I would definatley replace that UV led with a red one like you said. Also, I don't know if you want to go this far, but I had an idea for another mod. Perhaps take out that one LED (the UV one), and remount it on the underside of the case along with a whole string of other ones. Try an make a consistent line around the bottem of the case, so you would achieve an excellent red underglow. I think it would really help make this case look badass. Or if you're not too keen on the idea of creating a long series of LEDs, maybe raise the case up a little (by means of casters maybe?), and mount two 12" CCs on the bottem!! Underglow is awsome haha, you're giving me inspiration for my current project.

Yup that was what I was thinking. The UV one died today for some reason do in the morn I am gunna take a trip to ol' radio shack and get all the red leds they have haha.

I am gunna put three on the bottom for now to see how they come out and then in the future put more along the side, to get it that 'underglow effect.

I don't think anyone was ignoring you, just picking colors is kinda a subjective thing..it shouldn't be that hard, you just have to ask youself "What does the case want?"

They will build themselves after that

I also like the red and black theme. It is kinda along the lines of a case that T2 did for a LAN. His had a Sapphire mobo and red sleeving, etc. You could do sorta the same thing but with your own twist. I am definately a fan of TT cases. They have a certain level of craftsmanship to them that I like. I would definately do some flames with an etch or something. With a little work this case could be PIMP.

Inspiration comes from looking at what others have done, look in the gallery here, thats what it's for...just don't be a copy cat...go your own way, make it to please you, screw anyone else.

You are supposed to show us what you've done, not have us design it for ya...put your heart and soul in it.

Sure, asking for an opinion on something is fine, but hell man, that case is so stock..what is there to say?

Ooh add more pretty lights, get some case badges...

Go crazy dude..show us what ya got!

Drop it off a the roof, then show us how you integrated the dents into the mod..hell I dunno.

Not trying to be real sarcastic, this is more like a pep talk from a football coach designed to motivate ya!
