acrylic question

So i am going to be using some mirror acrylic in my next case...

If I etch from the side which is not mirrored will it effect the mirror at all??

It shouldn't... on the assumption that the mirror is set up like a standard glass mirror, where the reflective coating is on the "back" side of the material.

Be sure that it is true mirror. I used "One way glass" or 9true name) limited vison glass for my window. It is mirror on the side of the glass where the most light is present and see through on the darkest side. It's also available in acrylic and is sometimes sold as acrylic mirror. It's really cool. If your glass supplier doesn't have the brightest blonde on the phone, you might get this product by mistake.
