I would cut them out and replace the pieces of plexi with one big piece. It will look much cleaner.

Cut the x out then replace the window with one that has a hole to mount the fan.

You could like the others above me stated..cut out all the bars and cover it with a piece of plexi and mount the fan to it. I personally would try something with it. Like etching designs on the plexi aroundthe divisions and maybee the metal bars also. Would be somethng different. Just a suggestion though. Good Luck.

Cut the bars, leaving hte black metal circle. Then use 3M mounting doubleback pads to secure it on a new piece of plexi...

Cut it out and do the one peice plexi. Your probably disrupting flow on the AC64 anyway. Put your new fan hole over the chipset or video card and get some better cooling on one of those. The setup on the AC64 is nice, but air flow is easily disrupted. I speak from experience. Turbulence screws with the 64.

I did something similar w/ a raidmax case that had a design over the window. It looked a lot better w/ just an unobstructed sheet of plexi.

Hey guys thanks for the info. Ive decided that im going to cut it out and put one flat sheet of plexi. thanks unit505 for telling me about this turbulance issue. I neva thought of that. I work the next 2 days so it will be down after then. Thanks everyone for all the great advice. I have one idea though instead of buying a new piece of plexi i can still used this peice. THer will bea hole in the centre but it would be right next to the artic cooler. I thought that might be a good idea and that way i dont have to mess wit the screws on a new window. What do u guys think. heres a pic of wat im talking about.

Hmmmm...

Can you cut that fan hole to take a 120mm fan? Even if you don't use a fan, you can use a 120mm grill to dress it up a bit.

YA know i was thinking the exact same thing. When you have the naked fane on the plexi, it tends to stick out a little more than it needs to. with the black circle there it'll give it a different focal point than the illuminted spinning fan blades of death.

Don't mount the fan dead center, offset it somewhaere. Or, use 2 or 3 fans , different sizes/colors,etc.
