What do you guys think of buying computer parts or computers off of ebay.

I have found this is a very cheap alternative, and was planning on upgrading an ebay purchase.

ebay I found to only be cheaper on less than high demand gear and older (last gen) gear. New product and high demand alike, usually go for about the same as retail or sometimes more.

i dont like buying hardware of ebay because of all the schilling .... ( or however is spelt )
plus, even or older stuff, things are WAAAAAAY overpriced ....
i preffer buying stuff from people in this forum .... people that i know and trust

I've had good success buying stuff on eBay - last year sourced 8 older Dell servers and necessary parts for a customer and made a nice chunk a change.

I love ebay, thats where I get 65% of my parts and stuff for my computer. Never any problems.

You'll save more and take a better chance buying stuff refurbished/open box from newegg.

and you can send anything back if it doesn't work.

I usually go to E-Bay for most of my purchases and have been more than pleased!

Well I buy parts from ebay all the time.Look closely at total price and then surf about so make sure it is truly a bargain

I post a Wanted ad here or ask around. Then i look on craigslist then i post a wanted ad there if i didn't find it. Then i got to ebay.

But thax just for used stuff. Most of the time i can find it new for cheaper.
