| Another thread about the best disks to cut metal: http://forums.pcapex.com/other_moddi...t=dremel+guide And here's a thread about the tools & trade of modding: http://forums.pcapex.com/case_moddin...t=dremel+guide Edit: As can be seen in the URLs the links were easily found via a search for "dremel guides". | ||

| Anything with the Dremel name on it is quality, when I bought my dremel I just got the cheapest little kit they had (around $40-$50). Alot of them come with an array of the most basic cutting discs, but you should still buy a pack of discs because you go through alot of them when you're new to the dremel (I went through ALOT). I would reccomend cutting disc #420. It's a 20 pack of basic cut-off wheels, and should be all you need to get started. I rarley use anything else, but the reinforced cut-off wheels are very nice as well (if you can afford them). Good luck on your purchase, I consider it one of the most rewarding and justified purchases I have ever made. edit- here is from that post that was linked earlier...

| Dark, if you're new to a Dremel, I'd go with only reinforced Dremel cutting disks as ratchet quoted. I'm not new to using a Dremel, but I'm a newbie when it comes to using a Dremel to cut metal, so I'd often find myself breaking the regular cutting disks. I picked up some reinforced ones and have yet to break a disk as they're much more forgiving. Use them until your skill improves and you gain some finesse with it; then you can use almost any disk. | ||
