Default Came across an old server case at work

This thing is gigantic! Its 8 1/4 wide, 16 1/2 deep and 26" tall. The case has cut-outs for 3 80mm fans in the front!! I took some pics at the house... I should find the top and front @ work, but if I don't., does anyone have some parts that will help me out? I will gladly pay for them!

Here are the pics that I took of the case:

I know!! I started drooling when I found it at work. It's missing the top and front, which I am waiting to hear from the network admin if he has them. If he doesn't I'm going to have to find a replacement. I was hoping someone on here might have a spare front and top lying around that fits the dimensions.

Thats exactly what I was thinking...I have some big plans for this one, if I can find the top piece and front. I am thinking some turbine style fans in the front....2 blowholes in the top.....I dont know....the sky is the limit with this bad boy!

That case reminds me of those old 166mhz gateway server cases at a place that i used to work.

They raffled them off to the employees as a free working computer. Which of course i believe they did that so they wouldnt have to pay the disposal fees involved.

One guy i worked with won one of these systems and asked me to check it out. Since he was computer illiterate. Well after i told him how slow it was he never wanted it so it just takes up space in my closet now.

Since i dont have the time to do much. I had plans to make it an old dos gaming machine. Since it could run all those old dos base games without any software to slowdown the cpu to make it playable

Ah, the good ol day's when i use to play strike commander all the time.

If work ever slows down i can get to doing a mod on that case.........

You could even watercool it with plenty of room to spare with one of those black ice extreme III radiators.

120mm rear exhaust....

It actually strikes me how few 3.5 bays it has.

I noticed that too -you would figure a case this big would have more 3.5 bays...oh well.

At my previous job we had the old SQL server in a similar case - an old In-Win. There are additional 3.5" bays above the PSU.

Edit: I just looked at the pics of your case again - I think that a drive cage missing from yours, there should be one under the 5.25" bays.

I noticed that too, once I got it home. Looks like I'll have to order a drive cage.

Well, I searched the whole office today, and did not find the parts I needed to complete the case (top and front bezel) . Although, I did some extensive Google searching today, and I came across this site - http://addtronics.com/spectbl.htm

They have a few nice server cases that are the exact same dimensions - and you can order the front bezel and top seperately without having to order a new case! So it looks like I'm gonna get to use this case after all. I am going to be trying some new stuff (for me) on this one, so I am definetly excited!
