Those peice of sh!t dells are made out of 1MM steel and about 3MM of plastic, its gonna be a bitch to cut.

There is only one fan in P4 Dell systems and its a 92CFM CPU Outtake which sucks air off the heatsink, no system intake...gee arent they smart.

Where did you get an intake and as for exaust, are you counting the PSU outtake?

Make the side fan an intake, but I suggest you get a real case and start with that...

If it dosnt work out im ganna get a case from xp cases, they have bitching cases. Thanx for the intake idea. Oh and what cases would support my mobo. No idea what it is. It has intel chipset, but its made by dell. Please help there.

Big problem with that...Dell motherboards are completely propeitary and are made by Foxconn, you will have to do some extreme mounting mods to mount the motherboard, because most Dell motherboards are sotered stuck and riveted to a steel tray that mounts to the case with clips, it's just sad, but if you see 4-6 screws then you can remove it from the tray...you will have to figure out a way to mount it in the new case.
Drill holes? Zip-tie the damn thing? Superglue or Elmers Glue? Dunno...

thanx agin for the advice as i look right now it looks like its screwed in which isnt good for me. Im feeling superglue beings its resistant to electricity and will hold it in any place. Ziptie dosnt seem like too good of an idea but if people can mod motherboards into ataris, nintendos, and monitors then i can shove a damn dell motherboad into another case. And why is dell that stupid to make their mobos and cases so damn differnt then everyone elses

Id sell that dell to some poor SOB, and buy some parts and build a real rig. Thats what PR is all about. Ive been building my own computers for years. Since I got my first XT. Never bought a complete system from dell, HP or any of them. Thank god I wasnt a stupid twit who'd buy a POS like dell. No offense to you.

Consider a new mainboard and PSU, the rest of your components are not made by dell and are normal computer parts

Sorry that I forgot to mention that using a standard power supply on a dell mainboard will light it up in flames (no joke)
Same goes vice versa, you can't use and standard mainboard with a dell PSU it also will light it up in flames (no joke)

depends on the age, i forgot what year it was , but Dell used to use standard PSU's before the switched over to there own propritery design.

If you ask me they did it just so you would fry a board trying to upgrade, then get discoraged, and buy another dell!

Well, I build an AMD 2600 333 with a GeForce fx5200 128 for 400 bucks with case. And its a good comp, too. Just go to newegg.com I built this comp for 420. Its a smooth deal. You can build a comp buy eBaying your old dell. 'Swat I did with a Gateway Solo Laptop.

Since the dell logo things are normally huge, so I think that you would have to use a 120mm at least. I think that you should make the big one an intake and reverse the other intake to make it an outake.

KilJaeden, Nope, only 180MM or larger fans will accomodate that huge bitch-ass logo

I wasn't sure the size of the logo, so I took a shot in the dark. I wonder were you can get a 180mm fan.
