My case mod will sadly be placed on hold, before it even gets off the ground.

This is because my sister's birthday is coming up, and my dad is letting her get a new case for her computer, with his credit card. So as my present to her (So I don't have to cough up any dough ) I will mod her new case.

The case must be beige, I will paint it later, and beige ones will cost less. The color she wants is purple anyway. I am going to add a light, a window, specialized cooling, and paint it. She needs a new case because her current one will not support her cooling needs. So I am asking the people on these forums for a good unmodded case.

Further conditions will be announced later, when she makes up her mind.

The only advice I can offer you is to go and pick out the case with her.
You are modding the case. You'll have the best idea what you are looking for and what you can do with it.
Once you get the case you can post a pic and ask for ideas, but try not to go out of your abilities.

Why beige? There are plenty of cheap cases that look uch better than beige. Check out newegg. Cases for under 50 bucks that look pretty cool. They have a purple raidmax with some pretty good cooling, like 6 fans or something for 42 dollars. Wait, its in green, blue, yellow, silver, ect. You can paint it, though without a boring beige box

The reason why I said that I would prefer that it would be beige, is because I am going to paint it anyway, and the colored cases normaly cost more.

Keep looking-you often get surprised by things like that...

I can often find really goos looking cases for 45-60 dollars. Just nose around, and look at more than one site...

Don't feel too bad, though-my girlfriend's getting me to make her one. Her case doesn't support P4-it's AT.

I will not be buying a enw case anymore. I am modding a spare one in my house, it will provide a vast amount more cooling than my sister's current one. Since my father was going to pay for the new one, he is going to fund the mod. Then I have my sister's computer to mod. Which I already have been thinking of how to mod it. The cool thing is, is that my father will buy the tools that I will need for the mod, so I don't have to buy any for the second.

Hmm this is what I came up with. A case for a girl would be something nice and small. How about this one http://www.directron.com/sx835.html . It's not big, and it will be easier to modd. A pimp window, water-cooling system or a few fans + hmm red with blue lights ? maybe UV cathode, so you get that purple effect ( matches the case colour ). And you could tie the inside cable in those fluorescent yellow ties. I think it would look awsome.

Hey-use it as practice before you mod your case. That way, you've made the mistakes, and are ready to forge on ahead with your mod. And, you'll have all the tools...

My sis wants a comp, but her room is to small and she has to many things already, there just isn't any room. Otherwise, yeah, she would mant it modded. You should have need her face when she saw Scapegoat's rustbucket...

Get her a shuttle, or a VIA.

did he not just say he was going to use a case he already had, and on top of that, she want a new CASE, so that she gets better cooling, giving her a shuttle would require a whole new mobo.

Maybe you could print out some Butterfly stenciles and slam a couple of those on there. Chicks dig stuff like that. Maybe some pinkish lighting. Do they make that color?
