Showcase Desktop Mod

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if someone could help me with an idea I have. I built this case and won my first contest with it at the NewEgg case mod contest November 2005 2nd place. I was very excited, but now I'm trying to go even further and make my computer, and DVD burner start, shut down, open and close with a wireless remote control. My first attempt failed miserably using a RC 12volt transmitter and receiver.
Since the power on pins on the mobo do not do anything, but complete a circuit when the switch is pushed the RC parts don't work.

If you have any ideas I would appreciate them.

Its always nice to see a new member make there first post, a mod. looks sweet bro, good job.

Thanks guys I appericate the nice comments.
Im not sure if my idea will work I keep all of my projects on a small buget so if it gets to expensive I will have to scrap the idea.

Welcome to PimpRig, GearMod your idea sounds pretty good, but i am not sure if is possible to do what you want done, but i could be wrong i am pretty sure some one here could give you some sound advice on how to get it to work. I wish i could help you out just wanted to welcome you aboard to PimpRig.
