| Im getting tired of having a small mid-tower case with no room on the inside, so I found myself a Chenming 901B, which is HUGE. There is a pic of it here http://www.xxera.com/case/chenming/at901b.html I'm going to have plenty of room for some water cooling, and maybe some LCD panels on the front, but I'm wondering what kind of mods to do to it? I cannot have it beige. A window on the side is a given, maybe some color schemes? I would like to know what you guys think! Be gentle, I'm new here! | ||

That puppy's a MONSTER!!! It'll be your case, so maybe a personalized theme might make it easier - what are your interests? Fav bands, games, movies, machines?? That may help you at least get a starting point - after that, have a browse through the galleries/project worklogs for bits and pieces that you think might look cool and go from there Personally (non-themed idea)- I'd at least modify the bezel and fit 120mm fans for your intake and exhaust (maybe a turbo intake?) Looks like there's room to use the top of the tower for a 3 fan rad. Maybe paint/powdercoat the chassis and give it a slick paint job and do something to hide unwanted cables... just a suggestion though ![]() Oh, post a worklog here too! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Well, I ordered my case. From what I'm envisioning, I'm looking at a glossy burnt orange paint scheme, with a window at the top ( around the PSU) and a window at the bottom, but with purple flames intruding. Maybe a LCD temp monitor and some fan knobs with some purple LEDs in them, and some purple cathode tubes around the windows. I also thought about modding the front for 2 purple 80mm fans, or maybe one really quiet 120mm. Top it all off with some orange dye in the water tubes. Hopefully it turns out as good as I picture it in my head. | ||

| hey yeh same advice as everyone else.... choose ur own chase scheme and all that.... what really helped me out with my case was case gallery...... i have a huge case like urs too but mine is an old AT case that i put an acrylic backing onto due to the messed up back panel..... but yeh window... if ya do any lan parties wheels on the bottom just make sure the wheels are spaced out enough so the thing doesnt tip over ive had that problem too.... and maybe some handles are an easy mod to do.... fans would definatly be a nice adition... make sure uve got some filters on the intakes hose big cases take in a LOT of dust and such...... and i do belive ur gonna be paint that sucker so make sure u follow the painting guide on here and dont forget to paint ur inside of the case no one likes to see the grey factory coat or even the bare steel..... just some suggesttions...... lee | ||
