Default My Project

Hey guys, its been a while since I posted up here... I came home from school only not to have internet, so I worked on my PC instead, NOT my parts were all in except my GPU (still on backorder) but I got everything else together, now for my unique mods. here are some images of the rig before I do my stuff, http://photos.harrybush.com/ipc/photos.html....

SPECS:
ASUS Intel Canterwood MoBo
Intel P4 3GHz 800Mhz FSB
4x 512mb Corsair XMS DDR433 PC3500 Ram
2x WD Special Edition 250GB Hds cooled by Vantec thin HD coolers
Sony DRU DVD+/- R/RW(stealthed)
ASUS CDR 52x(stealthed)
Sounblaster Audigy2 Platinum EX
Hercules 3D Prophet 9800Pro ( Still waiting on it )
Custom Lian-Li PC75 Case
Matrix Orbital 222USB
PCMod's Top Window Kit
2x Noise Isolator 3.5" Rheobus Controllers
5x 92mm Thermaltake Quad-Blue LED Fans
4x 80mm Thermaltake SmartFan II
Thermaltake SubZeroG4 CPU Cooling System
Antec TruBlu 480w PCU
EL IDE Cables
19" Samsung 191T LCD Monitor

Mods Still to do:
--Intake fan hole for a 92mm in the middle of the bottom panel? (maybe)
--replace feet of case with 2"x2" acrylic squares... drill holes in each and drop a tailed superbright led in each
--install 2 Blue CCFLs
--cut custom aplique for the window (Pimprig maybe?)
--install the 5 tribal grills ordered from GK
--make a custom door in one of the 5 1/4" bays to house a firewire and usb hub
--figure out a way to sleath a disk drive, and maybe I will use it (reply about this one )

Any other ideas you have, please let me know!!!

you could do a lot with the wires. Take those side panels off and see where you can stuff some of those wires to get them out of sight. like maybe behind the motherboard tray...

the excess power supply wires can be bundled much the same way they are now only secured ontop of the pwer supply.

There is a TON of empty space in there, that case is enormous! Looks good so far, if you really spend a few good hours on the wires, it will look clean as a whistle. I know you can do it!

Nice work bushh!
Just clean the wires and youve got one mean ass looking mean machine!
Tuck the wires so they are still easily reachable yet hidden from outside view. Two tools needed: double-sided tape and black mini-zip ties
Also, don't be affraid to slice off those bulky molex fan connectors, remove them then splice all the fans together or into one of the ever-popular "speaker-wire snap-plug hubs" looksl like this only more connector's:

And while your splicing it doesnt hurt to run some braided sleeving & heatshrink over the fan wires

I miss Future Shop, was my favorite computer retail location for several years then they pulled out of the US and went back to being a Canada only chain.

Love the rig, even though it is blue.

The only Herc I ever saw at Future Shop was the 3D Prophet 4500 based on the old Kyro 2 GPU (about GF2 equivalent).

That card is actually the only Herc GPU I have ever seen in Canada period, Future Shop, Radioshack (still), and Costco all carried it.

Actually, ratschack and Future Shop also had the 4000 xt as well if I recall.

Anyhow, I hope you are right! Not that I am looking, but it would be nice to have them available!
