Default Noobie question! =)

I would like to know how i'm able to light up my uv reactive sleeving kit (green) without purple uv! I know it's a preety newbie question but I just started modding! =) Also i'm using dual green cold cathode.

Good news and bad news...

For you to get that "radioactive" green glow, you WILL need a UV source of some kind.

There are several options to choose from for a UV light source... UV CCFLs come in several different sizes, from 15" long tubes, 12" tubes, and even 4" mini tubes... Also, there are "lazer cannons", essentially three (or however many) UV LEDs mounted into a directional housing, that you can position just about anywhere in your case, and focus the UV light towards/away from a certain area.

I'll get you some links for each in just a few...

Here ya go, from one of my fav modding hardware stores:

4" CCFL kits

12" CCFL kits

15" CCFLs

"Lazer Cannons" (near the bottom of the linked page)

Ok so if I want my sleeving to light up I need an purple uv. Do you think that if I put an purple uv with 1 cc it will be ok? I'll get some blue sleeving for that.

As GPN said - you really need UV light there.

I prefer using LED's to CCFL's as you can hide them better and can spotlight areas that you want to stand out.
If you just CAN'T stand purple, you can get a similar (but nowhere near as good) effect with blue (as the wavelength as close to UV as you can get) - maybe put in some blue LED fans?

I've dealt with that person before, they're pretty good... If you're going to go with the laser cannon-type setup, I'd seriously think about getting a 3- or even 5-LED setup... They're cheap as far as price, and you don't have to go on eGay to find them...

Performance-PCs[dot]com, xoxide[dot]com, frozencpu[dot]com, all usually have a good selection/quantity of them...
