IBM case

well yeah.. i just woke up when i went out my room and saw an IBM case

! my dad found it at the dumpster lol
this case is HEAVEYYY !! (not heavy!! it's more than heavy.. so it's HEAVEYY ! lol) the steeles are thick

and yeah this is gonna be a challenging mod.. probably i wont mod it soon tho.. since i got a project that's not even 20% done lol !!
so yeah after looking at the pics.. what are your thoughts??

I never liked the external plastic additions that the IBM machines had, so the first thing I would do is apply a dremel to that thing on the top.

Paint it light brown like cardboard, and call it the corogated(sp) case

I would get rid of that "top" oddity as well... love the top panel & sides, though...
Makesit look like a HUGE heatsink! Unfortunately you did not supply a 'pic of the
front of the case...

Knowing most IBM tower fronts, I'd say you'd want to keep the "industrial look" they offer...
So... instead of modding the top & side panels (which truly emphasize it this look), why not cut
out a large rectangular piece out of the front plastic & steel & fit a piece of acrilyc there.... with a
nice blowhole in it...

In my humble opinion... you'd then go either red (aggressive) or blue (less aggressive) with the
fans/lighting... imho, red would just look awesome!

I have the same exact case. Its from my computer my parents bought back in 97 that they paid 2500 for. I laugh now since it has p2 233mhz 32 mb ram 4 gig harddrive onboard video. Yup good old days of solitare i guess.
