| I just ordered an AMS GMono case and I am looking for a way to open up the front for the 120 fan that is pretty much blocked in. Here is the case: http://www.svc.com/newwhitgmonc.html I can't seem to find anything I like as far as fan grills or els I would just cut a circular hole in the front. I was thinking maybe a plexi bezel ring like on Defyant's Stormd? As for the rest of the goodies, I ordered some 80 and 120 fans from Sunbeam: http://www.svc.com/salf-08-b.html http://www.svc.com/slf-12-b.html And a fan controller from Zalman: http://www.svc.com/zazm1mufansp.html Sleeving will be white with blue heatshrink and white molexes What do you guys think? | ||

| What I like about this case is that making true blowholes & fitting either a wire grill or custom fan grill is a job that only takes you a couple of minutes! Just take out the dremel & a few cuts later you've got some nice, perfectly round holes! Making a front hole in the bezel would mean an acrylic cut.... not very easy with a 120mm hole, imho... Besides that.... I like a "clean" looking front.. Maybe you could make a bottom 120mm bl;owhole, where the speaker is mounted now... TDR | ||

| Sweet case! plenty of stuff you could do with it! The plexi ring idea's sweet - not the easiest thing to do, but amazing if it comes out right maybe use one of these ducts on the front: http://www.frozencpu.com/duc-02.html (painted of course!) or step it up with some MNPCTech action: http://www.mnpctech.com/MnpctechBilletFanGrill.html or http://www.mnpctech.com/LianLiIntake.html Just ideas ![]() Are you going to do a woklog for this project? | ||

| This case does have a lot of modding potential..... Please dont leave this case white. White is such a neutral color its almost as bad as beige. As for idea's....... When i slipped on the porclein floor and hit my head on the sink. I had a revelation. A revelation of the flux capacitor. This is definately different...... Using the pic enclosed as a template...... You could use it as a cutout and dremel in the extra cuts on the plexi to give it the look that is broken. If you cut it just a bit smaller that it over hangs the main hole. A led fan might be able to give off enough light to accentuate the cracks you dremeled out on front. I hope this will get the gears turn'in Last edited by Rockin'male; 11-September-07 at 03:45 PM.. | ||

| Thanks for the ideas guys. I really like MNPCTech's stuff, but I don't think the aluminum would really fit in on this case. I do plan on it staying white though. I'm thinking I'm gonna do the interior of the case black. I have already ordered blue led fans and some other goodies from SVC.com 80 and 120 mm fans by Cooler Master: http://www.svc.com/80comaneledc.html http://www.svc.com/tlf-s12-eb-19.html And a fan controller from Zalman: http://www.svc.com/zazm1mufansp.html The fan controller is great because it will control the 2 8-'s in the rear, the front 120, and the PSU 120 (I don't like how it runs off the undervolted line in the psu right now) and then the 2 5v/12v/off switches will be perfect for my Zalman cpu and vga coolers. 12v when I am gaming or doing something I really need max cooling for, 5v for pretty much everything else. I like my pcs nice and quiet. Sleeving will be white with blue heatshrink and white molexes. I do plan on doing a work log, but I probably won't be able to do much other than sleeve the psu for a little while. I am in a dorm room at the moment and all my tools are at home . I'll do my best to get some pics up though as soon as I get everything started. | ||

| Well i gave it my best shot..... I was also thinking of using that sunbeam light bus and making and array of assorted led colors that would be sound activeated. So when you'd be jammin on your tunes, it would look way cool with the led show flashing to the beat of the music. Of course metallica came to mind (obey your master master) Man......im going to have to write this stuff down. This is good material for a mod in the future...... Good luck on your modz! | Well, I recieved all my stuff today. Ended up going with CoolerMaster fans because thats all they had enough stock in. Everything looks great except for the biggest part...the case! They sent me the wrong case, I had ordered the one with the side panel already installed because I was really just looking for a case I wouldn't have to hack apart for once. They sent me the one with no window. AND it has a large crack in the front panel acryllic. This really made me sad because I love the case. It really is very well made and looks much better than I actually thought it would.Sent in my RMA request a few minutes ago, will check on it tomorrow afternoon. More waiting... | ||
