Default Help me identify this case please.

Hey all...A family friend gave me this MAMMOTH case to save it from a garbage pile....I decided to take it...Just because its sheer size....It's such a LARGE canvas that screams for something cool to revive it to modern day life...

Has anyone ever seen this case before or know its identity?
I cant find any specs for it...but I know its almost as tall as my desk...
And its VERY roomy...
Its going to require an at to atx conversion....
as well as some serious cutting to get the psu to fit properly.

But this thing ROCKS....I love working with older steel cases....

Nice case! Looks like it was from the same era of servers as some we had at work. Like this Compaq Proliant Storage System U1 (the weird yellow shadow must've been an option ours didn't have). That gray strip down the middle is tinted plastic that allowed status lights to shine through.

That is a 1993 Korean Foo Chung case that was made especially for SouthWestern Bell to handle enterprise PBX system for businesses and held a proprietary motherboard and processor made by PC Chips.

Actually, I don't know but if you say anything with authority people will believe you.

hey are you gunna use that 5.25" floppy drive?

if not, send denacopoliz a pm to see if he wants it for his sleeper mod...it would be a great addition to it, if he liked my idea.

check out GlobalWin, they have some old skool style cases

Isn't that the case for the computer that housed the original plans for the Death Star? You know, before the Bothan spies hacked in and downloaded them, then burned them to a mini-CDR that Leia put in R2's slot-loading drive?

J/k, but yes, I can hear it screaming for a renovation, even from way the heck out here in KS... Or maybe that's the tornado siren going off, I dunno... If I'm not back online in about 5 minutes, keep on going without me...

I dont know what kinda case that is but if i was you, which i aint, but if i was , well then you'd have to be someone else and then ................ Woah , sorry got side tracked , anyhow

#1 - suspension - that MONSTER is beggin for some big ass tires ** think RC cars**
# 2 - BIGGGGGGG window , or sliding glass door from yer house
#3 - Heres one i aint never seen , a CD Rack mounted in the front for software , from the looks you got the room.
#4 - LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of paint !!!!!
and last but not least - If you just cant deside, move in to it and remodel a bit at a time

Or you could save yerself alot of thinking and ship it to me

Seeing these big server size cases for some reason reminds me of the old Cadillac Fleetwoods. You know the ones with the fins on the back.

I think it would be awesome to take one of these and make it look like the old Cadi! But that is just one idea I have.
