Default need ideas suggestions

alright, i am building a case out of plexiglass to house my water cooling system. Since it is seperate the hose is going to have to go from one box to the other. this is a problem because i can't move both boxes at the same time. So i need to find a way to make a quick connect/disconnect with a 1/2" ID hose. I need a quick connect on the steel side of my case and then one on the plexiglass side of the second case.

I also need suggestions on a fill and bleed kit. I know someone (sorry can't remember who) made one form scratch here, but would like to here from everyone.

putwig has made a spiffy setup for water cooling, you could easily make the fill/bleed section the same as the quick connect/disconnect system.

or you could attach the cases, rivits (SP?) are a good thing.

Here is the link to the fill and bleed gear.

I also just assembled a smaller, cheaper unit from black PVC fittings I found at a hydroponics supplier. I will post pics when I am done.

There are many options for quick couplers. I used air compressor couplings for a while inline, but found they were very restrictive to flow.

Check out hydroponics places, aquatic suppliers, aquarium retailers, and industrial supply distributors.

Lastly, check with piper. Here has a water cooling "desk" with quick connect couplers to hook up the PC's.

Try here.

I'd think you'd want something with shut-off valve in both ends if you want a portable system. And still have a good flow rate. Lotsa nice options here for mounting in a case wall or inline. If you use something like tygon or clearflex you could even go a little larger on the barb size and keep flow unrestricted. I know 3/8"ID-5/8"OD tygon will fit over 1/2" barbs. I'm sure 1/2" would fit over 9/16" barbs and probably over 5/8" barbs. Good luck.
