Default Do you cut and buff?

I know it sounds weird but it could give you the glossy and shine your looking for in your paint job. What your doing here is after the clear coat is dry (this step doesnt apply to sing stage painting) usually 24 hours, you are going to evenly sand down the clear coat with a very high grit sand paper(2000 grit) . Make sure you arnt cutting threw the clear coat. You just want to scuff the top to get out dust and dirt outa the clear coat and take down any waves in the clear. Once this is done you will get a mini buffer and some strong buffing compound and buff out the sanding scratches. Once youve acheived this you will need to use some machine glaze (like buffing compound but thinner) and once again buffing out the swirls in the paint the buffer made. If your feeling very professional you can even use some hand glazy (applied with a rag and whipped out with another rag)
