Question Right Angle Molex Connectors

I am trying to clean up the cable mess in my computer and was wondering how many devices I could run off of 1 power lead from the power supply? I am going to be using right angle molex connectors. I was hoping to be able to run all my drives off of 1 or 2 power leads. I have 4 ide hard drives, a cd rom, a dvd rom, and a floppy drive. Was going to use 1 power lead for all 4 of the hard drives and another for the floppy and cd-rom's. Is this too many devices per lead? I am concerned about causing too much heat in the cable.

Someone has already done it here.

My enermax has 4 molex's to each line. I am running all the 4 HDD"s I got installed from it with no problem. 5th HDD is used for backup and is kept in the car almost all the time, except when backing up. I scrapped my 12gig and 3.2gig HDD's yesturday BTW.

Yah bananna is in the right thread.
Unless your doing raid 5 yah you should be able to have all drives and then all else on the other.
Now we're talking hard drives if they run all the time split them up. Otherwise you'll be fine.
If you are running them all the time, make sure the wires can handle the load.

Never understood how RAID 5 works, I have only used RAID 0 and RAID 1.
