| I am building an Acrylic rig, but I'm having trouble coming up with the right color scheme for the inside. It is going to be watercooled, so that probably starts it out with some sort of green scheme. I'm just not sure what would look the best. Here are the specs so far... -Beantech clear Acrylic case 85-T -BFG 7800 GTX OC -ASUS A8N SLI premium -OCZ pc 3200 ddr400 Gold edition 2-2-2-5 latency -AMD 64 3500(this is the weakest link...but my friend is upgrading his rig so he's selling it to me for $100) -As for the power supply I was thinking of getting the Hiper type R 580 watt...but again...not sure on the color scheme. I also like the ultra X connect but am unsure if it is SLI capable or if it is quiet. -Sound card..I am waiting for the soundblaster X-fi to come out. (thats an impressive piece of hardware.) I also would like any info on the quietest fans hard drives...and also waterpumps...any info would be much appreciated. THanks again | ||

The color scheme really depends on your personal prefrace.... Personaly I would go with a blue theme. Sleeve all the PSU wires... I would say that blue is by far the most popular color scheme, which is bad in a few ways, but it also means that there is a crapload of awesome parts out there just waiting for you to find. You also said you were looking for quiet fans, so I wold reccomend getting a fan controller so you can just set the fans to your liking. But if that is out of the option just make sure you either cut out the fan grill on your case to reduce the sound, and tieing/taping the fan so that it will not shake or move while spinning... Good luck with your build PS: The AMD 64 3500 is not the weak link here, and if you are looking to sell let me know... For real. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Apex Master Tech Apprentice | You want a potent yet quiet power supply? SilenX 600w (You can always paint it later) (Don't trust Ahanix for jack ****. They've had a long history of ripping off SilenX) For hard drives the Samsung Spinpoints are near silent, (and don't put out much heat) Silverstone FM 121's for 120mm FM82's for the 80mm They're not as quiet as Vantec Stealth, SilenX, or Nexus... but if you lower the voltage to 8v or so, they're easily ignored. Swifty 655 for the pump, you can scale the power/noise easily... and it's always good to have room for expansion. coolant: Danger Den MCT 5 Radiator: Dual Black Ice Xtreme. | |
