compaq presario side panel

i just bot a compaq presario and i wont to no if i remove the side panel will it void the worenty i looked on the back and there is no seel but the thum screw is vere tite

and also what side panel would fit ti

huh? Are you trying to ask if you remove the side panel if it will viod the warrenty?

Probably not. If there is no seal then I assume no.

If there is a seal that prevents you from removing the panel is the only way to check to see if it will void the warranty. Some proprietary systems have this, some don't. If there is no seal that will prevent you from removing the side panel without breaking it, then chances are that it will not void the warranty.

I have the same case, the thumbscrew is tight the first time. But after the first time its fine, dont worrie about taking the side pannel off. Because my case was vibrating thats why i took the side off, and they came out 2 check it and werent botherd that i ahd taken the side off at all and replaced my CPU fan for free...
