Tools for opening hard drive?

What tools I need to open a hard drive..?

I just wanna open one bad HHD i have and maybe put it in my case..but i'm having problems with opening it

You are in luck. I just instaled a window on my hard drive. Most hd's use torx screws if you dont have a torx driver that will fit it just take your drive to a hardware store of automotive store and get one. ( if you can't find them, tell a worker u need a torx driver that will fit the screw on this hard drive).

P.S. don't drope your hard drive or leave it in a hot car for a long time.

You're going to need a hammer, a chissel and some sand paper

Well, as I said it's a bad HDD ...

and I don't wanna install window on it (for now) I just wanna show him opened and attached somewhere in my case. The idea is to direct some lights on its plates...I think it could be cool effect

What do you think?

oh yea! i got u now

if your looking for any ideas i got one. two weeks ago i did a case for a guy and i took the old 2gb drive and
and did about the same thing. i replaced his old one with a 160gb so i had this as a spare. I had the idea to mount the hard drive to the window. he said i could do it. So i took one side of drilled a hole in two corners and installed some leds. i then marked and drilled the the holes in the window and installed it with the old screws(cleaned them up). pluged her in and she worked.
