| ok... i plan on spray painting my tower black.... cutting a design out of the side using a jigsaw.... ummmm... cutting the top off so you will be able to see the bright coloured adapter... and spray painting some designs on the the other side of the PC so it doesn't look so plain.. putting some nice lights inside... rap all the wires up and try to keep it as clean as possible... does anyone have any tips or adive for me? | A pic of what your case would help a lot. Use red lights on the inside if you paint it black, red always seems to go well with black. Yes, sleeve the cables weather your are putting in a window or not, it improves air flow. Add some LED fans. Again, a pic would be great. | ||

| Here are a couple of wonderful links that should answer a lot of your questions (for starters): http://guides.pcapex.com/ http://forums.pcapex.com/showthread.php?t=8968 Have you decided on a design for the window? | ||

| Hello there. since you are going to paint the case black I would recomendo to also paint the back panel... but on a diferent color that match your color scheme (if you have one) . also do that 120mm conversion as stated above. it really improves the overall temp. If youre going to use led colored fans and/or cathode lights dont go crazy and mix a lot of colors... also get wire sleeves and if your going to go UV make sure that the sleeving material is UV reactive... paint the drives to match the case...... Check all the guides and forums here.... But most important....HAVE FUN!!!!. (and take pictures and post them in the forums...) Cheers | ||

| Nuts and bolts and assorted fasteners, oh, my!!! If you're looking to use a square/rectangle-shaped window, and chromed nuts/bolts would not detract from the overall thematic, you could do this: cut the window out, to whatever size you like cut the plexi for the window, but make sure to add about 1" extra to the length and width, so it overlaps the window cut-out measure, mark, measure, and drill out the holes (however many or few you want) into the window panel itself, then lay the plexi where you want it, clamp it in place, then slowly drill the plexi to match the window panel holes. Use whatever nuts and bolts you think would complement the case best, and voila! You have added a window to your case... The window in my ITR mod is similar, except that I drilled out the rivets that originally held four pieces of s-shaped alum in place, which in turn held the factory window (1/8" or thinner) in place. I drilled the holes in the side panel bigger, then the same bit to drill the alum pieces' holes to match, then found the bolts and acorn-cap nuts to fit the theme... | ||

| You asked if there was any other way... I just showed you one... Sure, you can glue it on, just gotta find the right adhesive, and get enough of it... Depending on how big and thick the plexi you're looking to use for the window is, you may need a small bottle or a 1-gallon jug (exaggeration intended)... Keep in mind, if you change your mind later on and want to change the window design, it's a bit easier to unscrew some nuts and bolts than it is to pry the window off/out, or even risk damaging the paint job by using a heat gun to melt the glue back to where it lets go...sorta... | ||
