have a cut out on my empty side of my computer panel but i woudl also like a window. i could:

A: keep the cut out i have and put the window on top of my case (also making PSU and CD-ROM windows)

(Pro's~~~ not everyone has a window on the top of there rig, more modding (putting in the psu and cdrom window~

(con's~~~ cant see much of the motherboard~~

B: scrap the cut out i have and put the window there.. Then re-do the cut out on the motherboard side panel

(Pro's~~~ can see a majority of the inside of the computer, space for a big custom window~

(Con's~~~ everyone and there brother has a window right there~

C: Say F the window and put ANOTHER custom cut on the other pannel

(Pro's~~~ Another excuse to use my buddys plasma torch

(cons's~~~ no one gets to check out the inside of my computer

tell me what u think, opinions would be helpfull..

dont want u to do my work for me.. just want help weighing the pro's and con's..

I'm confused, are you saying there is a cut on the MOBO side of your case? if so, why? and if not where is the cut?

If it is on the MOBO side, you could start a whole new trend of mods by trimming off all the structurally unneccessary metal on the motherboard tray and put in a window on that side

no, its got side panels that both can be taken off.. but the mother board is on its own chassy (spelling?)

looking from the front, the Mboard would be on the right, the cut out on the left..

It would be cool to do a 4 panel window around the dragon, then but before I go off on cool Ideas I need to see the pic

that thought had crossed my mind.. sems like the panel would start to get kinda flimsy though, i mean.. having more air/acrylic then metal on it..

then again, it might work..

u just had to go and give me ANOTHER option didnt u??

Sorry, but now that I think of it, heres another idea. You could mount acrylic behind the cutout and light it from the bottom with an LED or two

There are infinite ways to mod anything

Why NOT put a window on the motherboard side of the case? It can look good when done well, like the Fairy case in the gallery posted by mattlisa. Most people leave that side of the case empty, whereas everything else has mods. (Even I'm guilty of that with my current project, but...I'm thinking of painting something there.)

Windows seem overrated to me, but then again, how else do you show off your guts? Myself, my case has some very interesting mods inside, but no window. I'll take plenty of pics of the insides, so everyone online can see it with the side panel removed. For that matter, how often are people going to drop by my house and have a burning need to look inside my case? Virtually none. Therefore, the window is mostly for ME to look inside. I already know what the inside looks like, and I think the outside of the panel looks amazing (wait and see), so...

I don't need a window. Analyze that logic!
