Default glueing plexglass

well, i started a new little mod, i write about it later, but right now, i have have two small peices that are 1/4 thick each.

i need to glue them face to face so that they are 1/2 thick, i know that you can buy glue specificly for plexi, but i was wondering if something like epoxy would work.

the whole thing is that it needs to be clear, or close to it. i read zen's guide on working on acrilic, and how he made his own glue, i was also wondering if this would work with plexiglass, and insted of a mek/acitone mix, just raw acitone, because i only have acitone. would turpintine or mineral spirts work as well?

if anyone could give some pointers, idea or tips, the help would be greatly apreciated.

plexiglass is just one company's acrylic. its just a brand name. as for the other questions, i dunno. i know there's an adhesive that dries pretty clear but can't remember the name at the moment. i think i saw it somewhere in the guides.

oh well, i just glued it with regular epoxy, but squeezed it really tight, to get out all the air bubbles. and when i come back here from gluing i finally get a responce.

you can make your own acrylic adhesive with scrap acrylic and acetone. you break up some acrylic into little tiny bits and dissolve it with the acetone. you can then use a syringe or something to apply the goo. almost like welding it since its acrylic to acrylic.
