| Hello guys, this is my first post on this forum, I also post in guru3d and pcgamer forums, so here is my question.I got this case: http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-190-1.htm (Mine is blue). And so far I have added some red led fan to the lower part of the side window, a blue neon tube, and a blue UV vantec PCI slot cooler card. here are some pics. ![]() ![]() as you can see from the first pic at the beginning it had no air intake so I sort of modded the side window a little bit, but since a have no tool it was far from perfect as you can see: ![]() so now it looks like this: ![]() So, were can I go from here? I have four extra 8mm green led fan, a blue one, and a black ffice:smarttags" /> Will appreciate some feedback.. Thanks. Last edited by mmaturen; 14-July-05 at 01:35 PM.. | ||

| Apex Techie Wannabe | Just a thought. I think it would look good painting the black wire loom blue with krylon fusion paint. It's hard to tell, but it looks like you still have ribbon cables for your drives. You could pick up some rounded cables. I got mine for $3 each from coolerguys. | |

Or ya know, get blue split loom. Ditto on the round cables though.

| Should I rant to him about proper english? "Hello guys, this is mi firts post on this forums, I also post in guru3d and pcgamer forums, so heres is my cusetion, i got this case: http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-190-1.htm (mine is blue). and so far i have added some re led fan to the lower part ot the side window, an blue neon tube, and a blue UV vantec PCIslot cooler card. here are some pics." Question is spelled wrong. Use capitlization and puncuataion mi is spelled My.... Try not to type fast here, you make errors and get ranted on for it....( I know) Try to type slow, this isnt a contest... (this is to be read in a soft tone, like your talking to somone normally.) Your case looks OK. Make the window bigger maybe and get rid of the grey color..with something a little better Last edited by Nerdz; 12-July-05 at 07:25 PM.. | ||

I don't think it's ALL the rules.......just the spelling issue that gets to most people here.........

Because it looks nicer and more professonal. Granted this is a forum board, you'll get more respect if you fix your errors.

| Thanks for all the anwers guys. I think Im going to get some sleeves for My PSU cables and maybe some UV reactive IDE cables. Because of the way the dvd fits on the case it's almost impossible to do the "stealth" mod but I will try and paint it to match the case. Thanks once more. Cheers. | ||

| Bienvenido! (sorry, my keyboard isn't set up for the upside-down exclamation/question marks) If you got any specific questions that you feel you can ask more exactly in Spanish, just PM me... (Yo soy nascido en Brasil, comprendo mui bien Espanol What I add to a case depends on the initial look of the case itself... If I'm going to paint it, then I buy the colored/UV items to fit the new paint job... If not, I look at the case and work from there... Here's what I would work on for your case, from the pics you posted: Wiring: get rid of the split sleeve tubing and swap it out for expandable sleeving+heatshrink. Looks times better... Window/Fan(s): If you feel the need to add another fan, but don't want to cut up the window side of the case, I would look to fit it into the lower left corner. If you're going to slice and dice, you might think about looking into other cases that are the same size as far as the front bezel, so you can drop/swap that as well. IDE Cables: It's been said before and I agree about rounded cables...to a point... If you're good with origami, by all means, stick with the flat ribbons. If you take a little time to measure and plan your IDE cables' routing/stealthing, you can almost make them disappear, for the clean look Just some things off the top of my head... | ||

| Once again thanks for all the help. Im finally getting a Dremel in two days, so I'll be able to cut some intakes on my case. I have decided to get some sleeves, even though is quite difficult to find them here in Venezuela. I do have rounded IDE cables, not the flat ones that came with my MoBo, so with the sleeves for the psu cables I hope to improve air flow, and make my case look clean. I will post and update once it's finished. (GrandpaNoob72,agradecimentos!!) Cheers | ||

| I spend the entire morning looking for some sort of material I could use to sleeve my PSU wires, I tried to find some kind of mesh, like the material that is used on any PSU kit, but i could not find anything like that, what I got was 6 feet of heatshrink black tube and like 12 feet of red reinforced rib hose. the red color will fit my color scheme nicely Do you guys think this would do? its almost impossible to find a psu sleeving kit, so I must make mine from scrap... Also would it be ok to completely sleeve my 12mm fan cable on heatshrink tube?... Thanks.. Last edited by mmaturen; 13-July-05 at 11:45 AM.. | ||

| If finding expandable sleeving in a kit like THIS is near to impossible down your way, you might try an auto parts store (like a chain, Autozone, Pep Boys, O'Reilly's) . They probably won't have it in a kit per se, but if they do carry them, you can hopefully pick up several lengths (I'd say about 5~6ft of 1/2", 10ft each of 1/4" and 1/8". That should give you enough to have some overage in case of mistakes... Otherwise, you may have to end up paying for international S&H ![]() | ||

| So here is an update on my rig: I got home and decided to use the things I got this afternoon to sleeve my psu wires. it took me like 45 min, but I'm satisfied with the way things turned out. here are some pics... ![]() This is what I have mannaged so far, how ever, like 5 mins ago, a friend of mine called and told me he can get me this: http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/vacsblslkit.html. So shall I go for it, or keep the wires the way I have them now?... | ||
