Default Looking for inverted mobo style cases

Umm well this hasnt been my week... While I was working on my made from scratch case I managed to crack the plexiglass mobo tray, and knock the top of the case onto the floor where the alumium bent and broke (where it was epoxied). This is the second time I've had to glue this thing and it doesnt look like the case would be very sturdy if I did finish it.

So Im looking for an inverted motherboard style case like the Lian Li V-series have only a lot cheaper (but feel free to post all cases so I can compare) I'm not hangin up my modding tools or quitting, I've just decided that its in my computers best interest to have a manufacured case and then mod the hell out of it.

Here is a few choices start on PR here

Do a google search for inverted mobo style cases.

Or click the linky LINKY iT UNDER $65.00

One of the most appealing characteristics of the SilverStone TJ06, besides its looks, is its BTX style cooling.

It has 3 small problems here if you can live with that look to be a good case.

Pros
  • Styling, the case looks freakin' great
  • Great cooling performance, BTX-like design
  • Roomy with the right equipment
  • Front ports that are numerous and out of plain view
  • Tool-less
  • Support for dual CPU systems
  • Quiet
Lows
  • It can't hold many popular motherboards, ABIT IC7-MAX3
  • Needs an ATX motherboard power cable extension for most power supplies
  • Needs to include extra long ATA and SATA cables
  • Incompatible with several VGA coolers
Specifications
  • Material: Aluminum front panel, 0.8mm SECC body
  • Color: Black, Silver
  • Motherboards: Extended ATX, ATX, Micro ATX
  • Drive Bay:
    • Exposed: 5.25" x 5, 3.5" x 2
    • Hidden: 3.5" x 6
  • Cooling System:
    • Front: 120mm intake fan, 2200rpm, 21dBA
    • Front: 80mm intake fan, 2200rpm, 21dBA
    • Rear: 120mm exhaust fan, 2200rpm, 21dBA
    • Customized 120mm CPU wind tunnel
  • Expansion Slot: 7
  • Front I/O Port:
    • USB2.0 x 4
    • IEEE1394 x 1
    • audio x 1
    • MIC x 1
  • Power Supply: Optional Standard PS2 (ATX), Redundant PS2
  • Net Weight: 11kg
  • Dimensions: 205 mm (W) x 566 mm (H) x 474 mm (D)

Thanks a bunch! Bling to you!

That first case with the 3 problems wont bother me at all. I've got an X-connect with a 17" ATX power cable so no problem there. My Zalman Vf700 Cu points the other way so nothing wrong with #2. And problem 3 shouldnt be an issue and if it is shouldnt be hard to over come. Thanks!

I'd recommend the Silverstone case as well. I've got the TJ01 and it's a really nice case.

I guess I panicked for nothing... My zalman will fit on that case but dang its goin to be close.

BTW is there anyway I can get that case w/o a PSU? Cause I already have 3 laying around...

EDIT: WHOA!!! I guess I was looking at the enermax review and seeing the $65 tag that you posted. I guess thats the SilverStone case. I dont see much difference between the two besides the LCD on the enermax that I dont really want. Besides the brush aluminum looks sweet and would look great with my planned window design!

EDIT EDIT!!! DOUBLE WHOA!!!! It's not anywhere near $65 the link you gave was for the review but the links at the bottom for pricing are for some other case... Cheapest I could find was $99 plus $14 s/h
