| ok, ive been away for a while (on vacation) and im going to finish what i started on this koolance case. I dont have any pictures up untill this point so im not going to put it in a work log thread. first off the specs that will feed this rig. motherboard-abit ic7 max3 cpu-pentium4 3.4ghz HT (hope to oc to about 4ghz) im not familiar w/ intel overclocking so when the rig is up and running a few intel pimps would be good ![]() ram-gskill 1g (2x256) 2-2-2-5 storage-2x 300gb sata (maxtor) and possibly a fujitsu 15k scsi cpu cooler-polarflo tt 3barb 3/8" stock pump/res (will upgrade to dd black ice pro ll and better pump) 3/8" green uv reactive tubing (primoflex from frozencpu.com)+fluid xp psu-ultra 500w green uv windows so far ive painted the inside of the case w/ flat black, and dressed up the bottom and middle support rail w/ some chrome vynel i had lying around (i used to make vynel signs/banners). and i replaced the led temp display w/ a blue LED one and replased the other misc. LED's i replaced the front door LED's w/ green ones and dressed up the mobo for looks pics below. on the mobo i thought of somthin pretty cool, i got som of that EL wire sh*t from xoxide (green) because i thought i could use it but i didn't. instead of going through hasle of reterning it i trimmed the mobo w/ it and it turned out better than i thought. um.....ya when i ordered the cpu block for some reason i thought this board was a socket 775 of course its not so i have to retern it and get the universal bracket, this is the only thing stopping me at this point. any mod ideas or comments are welcome, i dont know if i left anyhting out at this point, so just ask.ill try to keep up-to-date pics and feedback for you peeps that like watching noobs blow up expensive gear. (sorry for the low res pics[camera phone]im tryin to get a dig. cam this weekend or sooner) | ||

| the new radiator is going to be some feet to accomplish, im going to completely remove the top radiator housing that holds the three 80mm fans, the led displat, and of corse the radiator. and try to salvage as much of it as possible and make some mods to it so i can fit the black ice pro ll in there while still trying to make it LOOK as much stock on the outside (sleeper). the only concern i have is that the radiator will come in contact w/ the psu, but then agian i havn't seen the rad. in person so we'll see. ---(EDIT)--- ok i did some research and the new rad SHOULD fit but it will have to sit lower down into the case but it shouldn't interfear w/ anything, and i have a question, where is a good place to get a couple of chrome or anodized 120mm fan ducts? but if the new rad. is too big you guys will see some fiberglass work. and since the fiberglass is out some carbonfiber might work its way in there too. ![]() ps. which pump would be the best for this settup between the Hydor SELTZ L 25 Water Pump (265 gph) the Danger Den DD12V-D4 the PolarFLO TT Series Pump or PolarFLO TT Series 350 Pump the 350 pump i can do alot w/ because its so small but is it a good enough pump? | this is what im ready to order black ice pro 2 w/ 1/2" fittings and clear green low pro shroud polarflo tt w/ 1/2" barbs w/ universal bracket ![]() polarflo 12v pump matching the block (black/chrome) 7 ft' of primoflex 1/2" uv green tubing bunch-o-green clamps 2x 12mm uv green fans typhoon 5 1/4 bay quad res uv green (i saw the review in this but i think it might work better in this case because of the drive rails) uv green dye the pic of the top fans is the cover that im going to gut out to try and fit the new res. and mod the 120mm fans in. the second pic is obviously the big ol' hole that ill probly make a little bigger using a nibbler. (ps. this case is in kinda backwards because it will be painted later down the road, using some house of color candy green and a super matalic silver base [ old school low-rider style ] )Last edited by beachbum86; 08-April-05 at 06:54 PM.. | ||

| Apex Techie I | Hi, looks a lot like a koolance EXOS-setup ,and I've always wanted one. But nice to see that someone has a go with that setup. (Ok pump differs, but that's probably for the best.) Like to see them OC-results in the future. Great job so far! Grtz | |

| i got tired of waiting for my uncle to lend me his dremel, so i wen to target and found a dimond in the rough. it set me back $24.99 and i was a bit weiry about it, so i took it home cut some crap w/ it and what do ya know, couldnt tell the differance between this and a dremel. it even came w/ that long extender thingy. well i did a little work before i went to bed, and ill finish it before i go to work. heres some pics. oh ya, i took back the res. and i got the dd black fill port so im going T line instead.(more 5.25 bay room) | ||

| i just converted to lcd today, i was browsing newegg when i saw a monitor ive heard alot about for $209. i thought that was pretty good for a 14ms responce time 17" tft monitor and space on my desk is getting smaller by the week. so i got it , and there is still kinda a wierd feeling in my stomach, like i might regret this when i pop in half life2 or doom3. but its on order, should be here sometime this coming up week.....the only downside is that there is no dvi hook-up. ![]() here it is | ||

| here it is running, had a couple leaks but i took care of them in a hury ( zip ). the clean pic is before i got the psu hooked up, those ultras are coole looking but are a pain in the ass to actually hide the wires still working on that ill get started figuring out those wires tomarow. youll see in the pic that there is no hookup on the mobo and vid card, thats because when i turn on the psu all the lights flash for a second then nothing, just the little green mobo light, power switch doesnt work the led display on top doesnt go on, so i just turn the psu off wait till the licht goes off then turn it on again, and the same crap happens, still tryin to figure out what the hell is going on any help would be good. i am not going to get one of these psu's for my gaming rig but ill probly get the thermaltake modular one. | ||

| wires are as good as they get, p.s the ram i have in this g-skill 2x512 w/ tccd samsung chips is supposed to be 2-2-2-5 but i it says like 2.5-4-4-8 in bios and that kinda sucks so i manualy put in better timings what would be the best. i did some research on oc'ing prescotts and ive found out that the v-core shouldn't go over 1.7v (only some can handle it), and that ram is the best at 2.7-2.9v is this accurate. ive been screwin around and i can get this thing to 3.8 no prob but i havnt run prime 95 yet but it boots just fine i think i can go further. when i find a stable OC ill post cpu-z. and i got a pic of the fill port window i made because i think its "sweet".
