Default first time poster and paint mod question

Sup. First post for me here. Hello people of the PR forums. Well, I'm not quite sure if this question has been asked before but, can you paint the inside of a case? Would it cause issues with grounding?

Welcome to pimprig,

yes you can paint the inside of a case, and no it will not affect grounding, because everything is atached to ground through the power cable.

this question has been asked before, if you want an easy way to find things just use the search button at the top of the page. you could also have looked in the galery and see a coupla painted cases

Yes - you can paint it. Assuming it's a steel case, you don't need to take it all the way down to bare metal - I'd do it with wet (with a tiny bit of detergent) 320 grit wet & dry paper - just take off enough of the existing coating to get an even wetness (rather than the beading / shunning you'll see at first).
You'll get a better result if you strip the case down first (usually this involves drilling out a load of rivets), but it's a lot of work.

No - it won't cause a grounding issue.

Welcome to PR

As far as those case rivets holding the drive cages, couldn't I drill through them and replace them with nuts\bolts\rubber gromet? Thanks for your ideas...
