IPAQ screen as in case LCD?

Hey, so my ipaq just died. Yeah it's a sad thing. And rather than grieving it's death I will celebrate it's life by installing it into my top two drive bays on it's side and use the nvidia display utillity for rotating displays! Now all I have to figure out is how in the blue hell I'm gonna do this. I'v seen the in car dvd player lcd mod on rigs where you solder a molex on and a yellow av connector, but has anybody done this before on an ipaq lcd? The touchscreen doesnt have to work. All of the threads I'v found on the net are about using the sync cable to stream videos to the ipaq rather than taking the lcd out and wiring it to the tv out somehow. I know Zapwizard has done something with iPaq's but thought I'd check with the Pimps first.

I'v checked and the lcd still displays stuff.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Does that utility work on Pocket PC 2002?

You need a controller card for your ipaqs screen. I know they make them for laptop lcds but not sure about the ipaqs

Considering your Ipaq died, I dont think it would be possible to use the sync cable to stream video. That video would have to be processed somewhere, and that most likely means part CPU and part GPU. The only way to do this would be to stream directly through the LCD controller, but I dont konw what kind of signal it takes, and that most likely woulndt be composite. ZapWizard created a networked piece of software to run on the Ipaq, that would control most of the PC functions. He isnt running the Ipaq from the computer.

Just get a 60 dollar composite LCD from ebay, and be done with it.

to clarify the problem is everyone has threads about streaming the videos through a sync cable this is NOT what I want to do, I'd like to use the same method used for the lcd mod everyone does where they solder a yellow av cable to points on the lcd's circuit board.

If this isn't possible then I suppose I will just have to buy a composite lcd off of ebay. That's what they are called?
