| Ok i have a thought and I am looking for help or input. The idea since things are a changing in AMD world I would pay tribute to the NForce 2 era. I dont have a lot of cash and was thinking that i might as well juice this puppy up for the last leg of a fully respectable board a Epox 8rda Rev 1 with giel 3200 ram, unlocked 2500 Barty and this thing will be watercooled by a Maze 4 , I am looking at getting a Z Block when i start the job and a DD gpu video card block (not the newer topped ones) and the water is going to be pumped by the old standby and faithfull Ahiem 1250 pump. I am suppose to be getting a YY case (some of the old time locals will remember this case when I get it ) Oh and the harddrive is a 160 gig Wd(7200 rpm) and the video card is a bfg 5900 xt overclocked. So here is the history lesson and quiz for all you guys and where your help will be needed. In the time line of when all this gear was top notch or cutting edge or sought after I want to see what else can be had or added to this to get what ever performance possible.Example a Pci raid card,to throw a couple of 80 gig in 0+1 array ,maybe better ram ect.... This is not say a huge overhaul get the newest top notch stuff to add to ,but like i said before maybe work in a time line of the 2 to 3 years before or after the board was made.. Help me out on this I think it would be a great project to say goodby to Socket A .Mods to the board will also be consitered. Oh one last thing this also includes color or painting techinques. Break out those old links and history books, and any donations suggestions arguments you all have are welcome, thanks for reading. Last edited by flounder405; 12-March-05 at 07:18 PM.. | ||

| I think you should cover the board with a piece of aluminum that is polished. You can have slots cut out for Videocard and pci cards ram as well as cpu waterblock and hoses. You could do some sort of etching on the aluminum so its got some texture. Maybe do the etching as something with NF2 in it. | ||

| Shhwweeeet! The first thing we need to do is flash the bios of your vid card to a 5950 so it clocks higher. Plenty of Google info on how to for that. I did it and mine has been going for almost a year now. Glad to see that the YY is still around. I've been wanting to do another with a Mountain Mods cube. | ||

| If you need help flashing that video card, they have some realy good guides over at MVKTECH.net, I just discovered that place...it's da bomb! http://www.mvktech.net/content/category/4/67/37/ I would try and find some Mushkin PC3500 Level 2, it has BH--5 chips and is the most legendary Ram from that time frame. THe 1700+ JIUHB DLT3C is also the other "Classic" CPU from that era, if you don't have a 2500+ allready. | ||
