Default help with a possible case mod

hello, i've been thinking of ways to conceal things on a case and at the same time be able to access them. The idea i came up with is to have a sliding door, and then just slide it away to access the thing, and close it to conceal it. My problem is I don't know how to go about making a sliding door. This would most likely be part of the side panel, like cut out a square of the side panel, and then put the door on that square. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!

First off, Welcome to PimpRig. Not sure exactly what your talking about but a to make a sliding door you'd need to make a track to hold the door, make the door, and find bearings or something to help it slide. Pictures would be a big help.

YEH man Welcome to PR
for what ur planing on doing ull definatly need some type of rails wether ur
door/doors (depends on if u make 1 door or 2 doors coming apart) are made of pexiglass or just the metal or plastic depends on ur case. this will be a cool case man if u decide to do it.
making a pexiglass door would be cool then it could be a window and u could open it and tinker inside
GL man
happy modding

The problem with sliding doors is they need somewhere to slide to. Unless you WANT it to come off the track you'll need long rails out the back of your case.

o ya i thought about doing that for a long time
1 of the ways i came up with is to attach 2 sliders to the chasse and the side panel then rig up some kind of lock so you wouldent need srews

or retractable rails that when you slide the panel back extend out. i've seen rails like that on some keyboard shelves on desks

You might try looking at some of the photos of the rail systems that carry the blades in blade servers for ideas.
