i am going to mod a perfectly good antec solution series mid tower steel case into a computer chair.

that got me thinking. I look at my chair its old crappy falling apart. My dad is maintance man at the hospital i work at so i ask him to bring me home a chair. He does. So im going to but the wheels on buttom chair on top. and put in a acrilic window/door and have it as a cabinet.

I know its a wast of a perfectly good chair and is beyond retarded but im board. Im looking for my usb cable to my 1mp cam (back when 1mp was a lot, wait that wasnt to long ago. . .) So i can get some before and after picks

I am going to paint the plastic front yellow and the steel body black and maybe the interior green.

I do know several people who've stood on their Antec cases, so a chair shouldn't be a problem..

no i tabuse chairs to much to put a rig in it. Im tempted to put led's but i would get tangled up in the extension cord. believe it or not i sit on my antec case a lot as a chair, just set a pillow on it. And its a free chair. I want lights but im a cluts.

P.S. Kinda off topic
I dont go to lan party's I dont game. Im a programmer. Hell i spend about 90% of time in *nix command line or free dos. I had a 566mhz machine and only reason i upgrade computers was so I could play sims 2. I am not kidding. Granted i could have spent a lot less $$$ and been able to but oh well.

Well i got the chair put together today. Yellow front with black body. Instead of a window i mounted a fried an35n ultra on the side. Its cool as hell. But it is tall as hell. My feet dont touch the ground. I cant find the usb cable to my cam and BB or CC dont sell them. Its one of the wierd ones. If i find it ill get pics if not ill get one of those disposable digi cams.

i originaly had wheels where case feet where but that proved istability then from welding the top got a lil weekend so i had to reinfoce it with a bar. That and i am not using it for my computer. Other half of room is work bench. That is up high because I like to stand i keep the garage bar stool like things at it for when I need to sit. This chair is perfect. Doesnt roll well on carpet. But hey its bad as hell.

I also forgot to pick up some clear coat so i have to do that tomorrow. I was debating on putting a boat batery in it for lights and charging it while I sleep but thats to much work and i would forget to charge it.

Ok i got pics. There has been 2 changes made since pics taken. Black bar that holds back of chair is now yellow. Second is now its in my room.

I am going to apolsture the chair with yellow and black rubber fabric type material. You know what im talking about? I dont know the name of the stuff.

Damn cable for cam cost me $21

Thank you all for the positive feedback. Yes it is sturdy as hell. When my step bro was up (340lbs) He sat on it and span around.

I know its missing a floppy drive bay and i need to re-paint front panal do to dirt. It was very windy out. We where getting 15-22mph winds when i did paint job.

And my neighbor Brian List, (List designs, does fox helmets for top dirt bike racers) was outa town so i couldent go and use his shop.

Yes its a an35n ultra. I said that in a previous post.

I am very happy with it. So honestly. Who thinks it was a waste of a perfectly good case. And thinks the idea is retarded and I did a horable job. I know I like it but there has gota be critics. But if there isnt any then great if there is i would love to hear what you would have done different.

You should duct the cooling system into the seat of your chair so it is 100% efficient, warming your behind durring winter time!..

I live in florida, i want to cool my behind, not warm it. But thats not a bad idea. Get a mino ac and stall it duck work to bottom of seat. LOL. But what about power. I am rolling my seat everywhere. Extension cord not logical.

I think it is comfy. I wouldent of used a chair that wasnt. The chair was near new. Only 5 months old just sitting in storage. It never even got used. So the padding isnt worn out.
