Default Custom or stock case?

I have this awesome idea for a mod but I'm not sure when and how long it will take to implement, so I'm in a position debating wether to get this case:

or building a custom one. Now, I don't want to reveal my custom case project just yet, so could you guys list some of the pros and cons of custom vs stock cases? Thanks!

Custom.

You'll build it to your specs and therefore, be a lot happier with it.

Depends on your time, money, skills and tools...I've you've got them all, then by all means, build it from scratch. If you're lacking in any of them, I would pimp out the case you've got there...

There's a challenge for you, a hovering or even flying computer that doesn't crash!

Both. If you don't already have one, get a decent case that has mod potential, and put your gear in it while you're working on your custom case. That way, you're not wasting $$ on a case that's only short term. You can take your time with your custom rig (without feeling rushed), and then mod the h3ll outta the other case.

A decent stock case is cule, but you'll be forced into the hardware and aesthetic design that the manufacturer chooses (hardware placement, fan placement, etc.) unless you mod it.

A custom case will allow you to have total control over what you want to add, where you want to add it, and how you want it to look.
If you already have a decent case, then just keep using it while you build your custom case.
Bottom line: build a custom case without putting yourself in a bind to do it.
