Default Need to Extend Cold Cathode Wires

Hey Guys, I need to extend the wires on my CC's, on the CC side of the inverter. I noticed that it seems to have 2 different gauges of wire here and it is also different from the standard wire on the power/switch side of the inverter.

Do I need specific wire to extend the CC side?

I use different guage wires all the time, but I try to keep it close to what it is connecting to. I always use stranded wire instead of solid though, and I use larger instead of smaller: e.g - 18 guage instead of 20 guage. Haven't experienced any probs yet.

As long as it is close, I wouldn't worry about it. I have many components wired up with slightly different gauge wire and have never had problems with it. I would try replacing 12 gauge with 20 gauge, but 18 for 16 wouldn't hurt anything.

Alrighty then, thanks guys!

I was just concerned for it looks to be a special type of wire going to the Cold Cathode.
