Default Help Me I'm New

Hi,
i am new to pcapex.com and yes i am also a noob to modding my PC, but any way i am adding an extra external AT psu and as you suggested in another forum i am going to use that one to power my drives etc. and the primary for my fans cathodes etc., anyway my question is how do you hook up fans and cold cathodes etc. directly from the psu i know it sounds like a dumb question but as i said i am a noob.

Can anyone please help me
thanks, Hobojangles

4-pin to 3-pin adapters. That or cut everything and connect everything accordingly.

It shouldn't be too hard, I would just say pick up some 3-pin to 4-pin adapters from crazypc.com or something, that would at least cover the fans. And most CCFLs use 4-pin anyway.

right there is a 4-3pin adapter

Oh and dont forget if you're adding a second PSU you'll need to link pin 14 on the ATX connector (normally the green wire) to any of the black (GND) wires on the ATX connector otherwise it wont power up but I cant think of a way to get them both to work together so you'd have to manually switch that second one on/off - Sorry

Designer, he said AT PSU, it doesn't require a jumper.

Sorry, my mistake (teach me for not reading properly) for some reason I thought it said ATX.
