In the market for a new set of tools.

My dremel broke recently and I have the feeling they aren't the best in rotary tools anymore. Anyone want to make any qualified suggestions as to what I should buy.

and I don't know if this has been posted or not but does anyone have like a definitive list of a modding toolbox.

Yeah, there is a thread around somewhere and I don't remember offhand who made it.

However, if you are looking for a new dremel.......this says it all.

Thanks for all the info guys. I am going to embark on a case modding venture this winter session but my first project will be to construct a new desk. Everything in my room has a cherry wood color/stain to it so it's probably going to follow in that fashion. I can't find any desks that will fit in my space so I am going to have to end up making it myself. Any tips are welcome and thank you guys very much for the information.

If you've got access to an air compressor then get a Desoutter die-grinder, air powered equivalent of a dremel. Much faster, lighter and easier to control plus it's rated for continuous usage and all your old dremel tools will fit it.
