| Anyone have a spare 4" to 6" UV CC they can sell me? The place I just ordered a bunch of goodies from is backordered on 4" add-on UV cathodes, they don't stock 6" ones in UV (just blue, red, green), and 12" is too big. I don't want the rest of the shipment to be tied up for 2 or more weeks until the 4" CC units arrive (IF they arrive), and I don't want to buy one from somewhere else and pay exhorbitant shipping costs for a single item...and I want to get this bloody mod project finished already! So, if you happen to have a spare 4" or 6" UV cathode, I'd be grateful to hear from you! ![]() | ||

| Well people, the plot (unfortunately) thickens... My existing inverter unit has 2 connectors, for a dual CC setup. One connector is used up by the floor 12" CC, the other is waiting for a 4" or 6" CC. The problem I just discovered with NapalmStixToKidz is that some CC units have a quick-disconnect connector and the wires from this go directly into the inverter. I need a CC unit that has a little white 4-hole connector, which looks a lot like the white connector that's on the end of a CD audio cable that connects to the soundcard (but those are 3-hole connectors). I already scoured through my bag-o-random-wires and could not find a single connector exactly like this one, so it's not as simple as a splice-&-solder job... And I can't just install a second CC system, inverter and all, and cut another hole for a second toggle switch, take off the bezel, re-route wires, yadda-yadda. Damn, I just thought all connections to the inverter units of CC kits were all the same! I'll post pics of the exact connector, close-up, after charging my cam's batteries (go figure they'd die just when I was trying to send a pic to Napalm).... ![]() | ||

| Here's a pic of the connector at the end of the wires leading from the CC unit, which connects into one of the connectors in my inverter box. The Canadian penny is for size comparison. I was mistaken earlier; the connector has 3 holes and is slightly larger than the 4-hole audio cable soundcard connector. There are only 2 wires, positive & negative, on the outside 2 holes. If you have a spare UV cathode under 8" or so long and could sell it to me, I'd be happy to reimburse you. Without this particular connector, it will be very difficult to connect the UV cathode to the inverter, as I don't have a spare connector exactly like this. | ||

| Haven't seen you on your messenger program for a few days, Napalm...anyway, if you'd be interested, I could pick up one of your 2 cathodes for $10 plus whatever it costs for shipping it to Canada. $17 Canadian would buy me a whole kit with cathode, inverter, switch, etc. Let me know if you think this is fair. | ||
