Question Question about switches

Hey Pimps,

I'm interested in learning more about switches. I would like to add a "millitary-style" switch to my case, but I can't find one that is not single pull, single throw (let me know if my terminology is correct, here).

Linkage: http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/ele-95.html

As I understand it, in order to function as a power button, I will need a "momentary" (I think) switch, rather than an always on or off switch. So my question is this:

1. What switches have you encountered that are cool looking or otherwise interesting

2. Where can I get a switch to function as a power button that still has the millitary style cover

Thanks,

J

A good momentary switch for power is an ignition switch. I used one for a John Deere riding mower. Also provides security on your rig (need a key to turn it on or off).

You can use the military switch (SPST); you will just have to remember to turn the switch off after turning the computer on

If you plan to use the toggle switch on something else you could buy one of those switches with the miltary flips and a push button, the flip cover looks to be held together with two nuts. just undo the to bolt and switch it over to the push button if the flip part will fith due to the thread size. Hope this helps

Thanks, BA!

I didn't know dragonmods carried those switches.
