I want to start a mod on one of those really tall cases but I'm stuck at the first hurdle 'cos I dont know what the name of those really tall cases is. This link should take you to an example of such a big case - could someone tell me what this size of case is called so I can look around for something suitable? Thanks...

That would be a server tower but in reality isn't a REALLY big case.

Thanks. Also, you know when you're looking in the gallery, you click on a picture and there's peoples comments underneath it? Why are so many of them blank:? Is it necessary to leave a message in order to rate it or what? It's annoying...

Apparently, it is not necessary to leave a comment when voting (or perhaps these were left over from before PR switched to a new system, not sure) so the blank ones will have a vote only and no text.
I will look into this.

Thanks again. Server cases are so expensive! Why? They're just hunks of metal... you recon I could find one at a computer fair or something? Ebay doesn't have anything good for the UK...

Another thing which is annoying is I spent ages going through all the mods in the gallery and got to page 48. I had to restart and when I went back it turns out that the order of the mods are randomised everytime you go to the gallery? Not a fan of that system...

the gallery pics aren't randomized. the ones with the most recent comments are at the front so its arranged chronologically.

you could always try building a really big case. it'll definetely be cheaper than buying. what's your budget anyways?

edit: btw, the pic you linked to is a a full tower case. the chieftec full tower dragons are 26" high for reference.

Here is my AT mod I made, it's pretty damn big.

Few cases here on PR can live up to the size and weight of this monster.

Just you wait dogg, both my current Animals case and the one I posted above will eclipse that AT case with no problem. BTW, don't ya just love all the room in these huge cases?
Speaking of big cases, screwcitypunk got one of my "medium" cases (still as big or bigger than a server tower, only it is deeper rather than taller), wonder what he has done to it so far.

I see. Still kinda annoying that the order changes when you're trying to view them all.

I havn't really set a budget but I'm a student so the cheaper the better. Doesn't help that I want a Matrix Orbital LCD and keypad for it though. I recond it'll probably take ages to complete as I'll just have to buy stuff as I acquire the money... it's a hard-knock life.

I'm not sure about building since I have no skill. I haven't got the equipment, would know how to use it if I did. I need to spend time reading some of the tutorials but there's no way I would be precise enough to build those bay things that your drives slot into...

My inspiration comes from playing alien vs predator 2 so I want it to have an advanced, space age but derelict, rusty kind of feel like the computers in the game. I need to draw up some plans (paper and pencil 'cos I can't use software like everyone else ). I had a quick scan around my bookmarks, but cheap full towers are pretty thin on the ground ... the "best" place I could find was overclock.co.uk, who have some full towers around the £60 mark, so I'd try a computer fair - you might be lucky.
