i'm always one for completely random mods, so here goes:
I ripped apart an old baby AT case, ran the IEEE1394 6-to-30 pin cable through the power switch slot, and put a mini-stereo to stereo RCA cable on top, hooked up an amp and used the iPod as sorta a cpu.......if you can picture a cpu being mounted sideways in 3 5&1/4" drive bays and encased in silicone, cranking out 3,000 tunes and 4 games with a built in screen. Look out for pics in the gallery soon.

Furthermore, from your slanted and poorly described depiction of this "mod"...it sounds lame.

OK the pics are up now look in the gallery for iPod jalopy sry my camera is bad, but there it is, the worst mod ever(and what finally brought me down to being considered a n00b again) but no matter how DUMB it was, and even I hated it so much i took the ipod out of the stupid case after the pictures were taken, it was really just a way to pass the time and a lame excuse for something to put a pic of on pimprig........sorry i thought of something so demented

Glad you came back and posted a pic. I think you took a lot of crap because you did something completely different than what most have done and a lot of us didn't quite understand what you were doing exactly. Don't let it get under your skin, we need people with new ideas to push the mods into new and different directions.

It would help to have a better pic, but not everyone has the money for a great digicam and you shouldn't be penalized for that. You may want to try to take the pic in a well-lit room during the day time. It might help.

yeah that's a $600 digital camera, but it was from back in who knows when, both of my cameras are 2.1megapixel sonys, dont laugh an old cyber shot and an old mavica, that was with the mavica, i turned the flash on, but it has a habit of turning off the exact milisecond that the picture takes, but it's too late to take a new photo, i took the rig apart so I could actually use my iPod as a portable music player, if anyone has good editing software, feel free to change the light and send it to me:

ok, i really dont mean to rain on your parade. but, you planned out this "mod" only to take it apart because it would not allow you to use your IPOD as a portable. one, either this could have been a decent mod if there was a little more meat to it and two, would have been better to make like a docking station type thing so that you could easily take it out without taking everything out.

maybe instead of just holding the ipod. the case could contain all the connectors for the audio so that you could basically turn the a case into a boombox. like maybe have the speakers internal or allow for ports on the outside. make a holder the clips the Ipod on.

just a thought, maybe a bit better than just holding the ipod, or atleast thats what i got from your describtion.
