On my monitor, the pic makes it look orange, which is what I'm looking for. Anyone know for sure if its more red or orange?

My $.02:

I live in a VERY small town and I found stuff like this at a local car audio/customization shop (they do it all, from audio/video to custom windshield stickers and neons). Granted, you may have to pay the local sales tax (if applicable), but not the shipping prices. In the end, it all may come out to the same price, but at least if the local car place carries that sort of stuff, you don't have to wait, and you can see what it looks like without having to make a purchase first...

i was in best buy, being ripped off for a CCFL, i didnt have time to wait for one to be ordered over the net. but best buy has the ones i need locally, anywho. after being slammed in the as5 by them, i see my friend walk around the corner with one of those "kits" in his hands. granted he is livid on how gay case mods are and how original he is "not" to mod his case. LOL, but then i see him buy one. the funny thing is that we get back to his house put it in. and its friggin pink, i laughed my ass off. he never used the modding kit, he just went out and bought a premod case "with" a window in it already.

Yea, they look pink, I bought one a while ago and was very disappointed, so I just sprayed some red kandy on it to redden it up, althought it decresed its brightness some. You can use Duplicolor Metalcast (red) to redden it up.

There's always cellophane to change tint the color more orange or red. Works on the pink cathodes to make them a real red.

I have a blue "liquid" neon, and it's not bad if you go in with the right expectations. Basically,

• They don't put out as much as a cold cathode. But that's good for direct-view applications.
• The "lightning" zigzag doesn't change shape a lot. It kinda sits in the same pattern for awhile, and twitches every so often.

also funkyfresh try RED window tint! looks great from yah i have heard, i mentioned that my cathode looked find pinkish and then one day he said that someone, not sure who, used the red window tint and it worked great!

You always gotta watch out when it comes to colors online. I ordered what I thought were red thumbscrews from Directron (through Zennzzo, thanks for the assistance!). According to their ad, they look like this:


However, when Zennzzo received them, he said they looked pink. I mean REALLY pink, a light pink color, not even close to red! When Zennzzo inquired about this, he was told, incredibly, he'd have to apply for an RMA form (an RMA form for godforsaken thumbscrews, can you imagine?!) if he wanted to replace them...plus the shipping, an additional $4 USD. Crazy!

I've seen red aluminum anodizing, as well as blue and gold and black, on bike parts, engine parts, etc., and red is RED. NOT pink! Funny thing is, Directron doesn't even OFFER pink thumbscrews, if you scroll through their color choices. I guess they should add pink to their color options, and maybe remove red, if they're gonna keep sending people miscolored parts that bear no resemblance to their ads!
