| I've looked around a bit and the only Aopen case I can find that is kinda what I'm looking for is the HX08. Basically, I'm going to be starting to mod a new case for a new computer. What I want is the most basic, flat, full tower case. The best I've found is the Aopen LX08. The HX08 is decent, but the LX08 is perfectly flat and square. The only problem is, I can find a website that sells the LX08, I've only seen it on Aopen's website. Does anyone know of a good place to look for a lot of cases or do you know of a case that is very simple, full tower. Basically a big beige tower that looks as plain as possible. I checked Directron and a few others, but no luck. I searched on pricewatch for the LX08 and got no results. Any ideas? | ||

| Yup, I've seen that for sale in a few places, it's number two right now. The LX08 is number one, but I can't find it anywhere. Aopen and In-Win seem to be the only ones that make those very box-like plain tower cases. The In-Win Q600 is also another case I liked, but I've had no luck finding that too. | ||

| Those damn AOpen cases ....... can't do anything with them anyhow! Joking!!! I chose the HX08 for the same reason you are looking at th LX08, I wanted a clean slate too work with! I don't know where to find the LX, but I can tell you they are a ton of fun to mod! | ||

| Yea, putwig, I want exactly what you wanted. Also, did you fill in those holes on the HX08? Because I just thought of this and now hitting myself, but I figured I could just get the HX08 and fill those little holes in with putty of some kind, sand, and then paint (Since I plan on painting the whole thing anyways). But since I can't find a huge picture of the HX08, I can't tell if all/most/any of those holes are real holes or just indented dimples. | ||

| I have two HX08 cases. They are nice, and can serve as a storm shelter in an emergency. The holes are only dimpled into the case. They could be filled pretty easily. A 120mm fits nicely into the front, but the steel behind the plastic is pretty thick. Nothing that a good holesaw and 3/4 inch drill can't handle. | ||

| Those ducts are exactly what I used AntiM. Note of caution. The bezel of the HX08 is not flat, it has a very subtle curve to it and therefore the duct does not sit flush. The top and bottom sit flush, as they are the "high point" due to the curve. The sides both sit about 2-3 mm off the case bezel. It really bugged me at first ....... but it really is not very noticeable, and doesn't bug me at all anymore! It looks as though the LX08 is flat and would solve this problem if you could find one! By the way, many OEM comp stores carry AOpen cases and could certainly order one for you. I did not fill in the dimples as I used vinyl dye. If I had used paint, I would have filled them in. | ||

| You should give these guys a hard look, they carry almost everything. Case Depot are the guys that always ran the big adds in the Computer mags for so long. | ||
