| Hi all, So here I sit in the back room of my store with this server running and all loaded up.....in walks Lokie...."you should change those LED's on the drives...looks to....well....COMPAQish....o...and needs paint....candy red....and we need to do some thing with the front.... now hold on....why go to all the trouble???does it run better??? NO!....But She sure looks purtty all lit up with the colored LED's and the new paint job...(not done yet, still working on the details on that) and when a customer walks in and comes back to the workshoppe and sees Christine (the server has to have a name {thank you Mr. King}) So What else do I do??? Water cooling was suggested...but why...it already blows cool air out the back, So what do you do with a server case for a MOD? I would post a picture of her here but I am not sure how to do that and I was going to post a link to our stores forums...but think that might be a conflict of intrest....so lets just "google"proliant 6000 in the pictures search and will bring up a couple...and she isn't small...so the posiblities for the sides are good...but no windows...the inner frame is a mess...wiring and such. So let me hear your ideas...gonna be a long winter... BTW Christine is serving up UT2004 and BF 1942 DC final 24/7 so join in...and kick some Lokie a$$ 68.190.162.137 this will also give me a chance to see if she can handle the stress of multiple external connections... Thanks for the ear... LMC Roberta Robert Schesel | ||

| Well, i honestly can't offer you any ideas for modding that beast (sorry man, nothing coming to mind), and i don't play any of those games. But, darnit, i wanted to say something because that is without a doubt the absolute coolest post from a new member that i've ever seen. Welcome aboard man, you've got rep coming from me (as soon as i have some to spread) ![]() EDIT: You Have Bling Last edited by droeblek9; 09-November-04 at 12:39 AM.. | ||

*in best Monty Burns voice* Exxxxxcellent! Welcome to the Dark Side. Nice job on the LEDs as well, that server case is even more of a monster than my main rig's case. Never to fear though, I will have a Pimped Rig coming out of my monster garage probably in the spring time when I anticipate being able to afford 64-bit hardware that will eclipse even the Proliant case in size. Lokie can tell you how big it is as he has seen it before. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
