| Apex Techie Lite | Hey, I'm looking at buying and pimping out my first case. I am looking at the silver aluminum version of the Thermaltake Xaser II (the A6000A). I was gonna get it with a solid side and make my own custom window. How hard is it to make a custom window in an aluminum case? Is this a good case? And lastly, where should I go to get the supplies for a custom window? Thx in advance. | |

| Custom windows are easy to implement in any case. All you'll need is a sheet of plexiglass or Lexan, something to cut it with (I recommend a table or chop saw, although Dremels do work if you have the patience), and then something to attach it to the side panel. Some people use glue, some people use tape or velcro, some use moulding, but I've always been a fan of aluminum pop rivets myself. These supplies can be found at most hardware stores or a big place like Home Depot. | ||

| I use silicon(clear) to stick my window, flexible and sturdy. Just remember safety, and allways check your measurements.....TWICE. A jigsaw, scrollsaw,or roto tool to cut your design. Alum is easy to cut just make sure you mask off what you don't want scratched up. Take your Time don't rush it. And if you can practice using wich tool to get the feel for how it works. | ||
