| I started to mod my Ahanix EX110 case. This sucker has some tough steel, I can't even use a cordless drill on it without it wearing the batteries down in a minute. I'll have to take this to the base tomorrow to the wood hobby shop. I was going to replace my LEDs (hard drive, power, etc.) with different colors. Are the ones they sell at ExoticPC, FrozenCPU, or wherever the same size? Is it a matter of clipping the wires and attaching the new LEDs? I also noticed a glue to keep the LEDs in place, is that some kind of rubber cemet...or simply model glue.. Those 35,000RPM dremels can be loud as hell when you start cutting, sparks flying everywhere! The new Dremel has a light that screws onto it. It uses centrifugal force to light up, more or less eye candy unless you want to dremel in your closet with the lights out. I just bought the 35,000RPM Dremel Kit that comes with all the goodies for $55. I am using a hammered finish blue paint on the case, didn't go with the "make it stone" paint...not dark enough. I'm trying to give my case a somewhat dragon skin look...like the blue dragons in Dragonlance. ![]() | ||

| The LED is a matter of voltage and resistor's. You have to test the voltage off the header you want to power the LED with and then select an LED with the same or higher voltage. If the voltage from the header is higher than the LED, you solder in a resistor to back it down some. 5 Volt LEDs are coolest, 3 Volt are cool, 1.5 suck. There are members here that are better versed in the the intricacies of LEDs than I. If you need more info I'm sure they will come to your assistance. | ||
