I have 2 Tt cold cathodes. They come with dual inverters and I paid $15 each. Can say how they compare to other brands because they are they only ones I ever bought. They seem pretty bright to me but they do take a few minutes to warm up. You can see them here http://forums.pcapex.com/showthread....&threadid=2170

I like Sunbeam Tech's lights the best. You can find them at various dealers...but from what I've seen/read/experienced, their lights are of high quality.
Hope that helps!

Jab-Tech has a pretty good deal on CC's. They are not the brightest, but also not the dimmest. About middle of the pack. But the price is pretty good for a dual inverter with 2 lights.

Another option is to go with Lazer LED arrays. These suckers are bright! Even the blue is bright, the red overpowers a case. Hardcore modders would build their own, but Lazer LEDs are not too expensive, well made, and are sealed so tight that they are waterproof. Another advantage is they are directional so you can use them to highlight a certain area of your case and have an extremely small footprint.

I use a combination of CC's and LED's.

I was looking at the link posted by Serif and the Tt cathodes are identical to the Sunbeams right down to the strips on the bulbs and the electronics on the inverters.

BA - lol! I was studying..I swear...I was uh...Multitasking..that's it

Hojo - You're right, I saw some pics of the CC's you were talking about and they are identical to Sunbeams lineup. I'm guessing that they perform equally as well.

*Edit*
Speaking of which, I'm heading to school right now (after this post) for a final exam..so wish me luck

well i just bought a pair of sound activated uv 12 inch cc's at :
http://www.xoxide.com/sounaccat.html i really liked there dual inverter and silver switch for sound avtivation or flash or on that goes right in a 5.25 cover after you cut a small hole for the switch. they sent you a one tube and offer to add a second for 7 bucks and then you can get a second inverter that plugs into the one they gave you and add 2 more lights (four total) they sent me a a black uv one and a white one on accident so i called em and they send another black one at no charge and said to keep whatever else they sent me by accident.. hey zero that link for the uv loomz i dont see where it says uv activated ..hmm

I have heard good things about www.zxmods.com from reviews and resellerratings.com. They also have awesome fan grills. You can also totally customize your CC order. I am gonna pick up 2 white CC's from them and also 2 laser grills.

i went with svc compucycle/heatsinkstore.com, they are the ones that most closely resemble the kick azz ones i bought at that computer show i got my other two at........i currently have 2 ice blue cc's in there now...so i picked up a blue dual inverter, with a second UV light....so ill be running 3 ice blue's with 1 uv to bring out my uv sensitive gear i also ordered from directron

i dont think the blue cc's should interfere with the uv light....it should put out enough light on its on with where im planning on mounting it to light up my UV gear.....or at least im hoping it does

Good topic, but I have a feeling this is going to be tough to get a good answer, simply because, how many of you have boughten two different cc's same color and size, from two different companies? Everyone buys a CC and loves it, but they have nothing to juxtapose it to. Understand? Example: I bought my CC from pcmods, I love it, but who's to say?
