![]() | I just got two 4 led fans by cooler master (TLF-R82) and for some reason the the damn things are dim!!! I have tried them on 3 different power supplies. What's more is that for some reason some of the blue leds are appearing greenish...I don't know what to do got any ideas...or has anyone had the same problem...any input would be great! Thanks in advance

![]() | I have tried both the headers and ps leads (using a converter) no change...Apollo 300W ps but have tried on a 450 enermax as well...still no diff.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It almost sounds as if you are running them off of the 5V lead. I really don't have any idea on how to fix your problem if you have the proper connector's and a good PS. It is obvious that you have too much resistance somewhere. Unless I could get hands on with your rig I don't know what the problem is. Maybe another member may have an idea. |

![]() | Well if they are appearing green, that means they are getting TOO MUCH current and are burning up. Try running the fan off of a camcorder battery or something that has more than 7 volts but less than 12 volts. That way you can somewhat control how much current is being drawn. I recommend a camcorder battery as most are between 6 and 9 volts. I suspect too much voltage is going through the LED's, maybe they are connected in parallell and not serial, which would suck. Or maybe they arn't getting enough current and are connected in serial which means each of the 4LEDS are only getting 3volts instead of if you had a 3LED light, youd get 4volts. thats what tends to make the 3led lights brighter than some 4led lights. I dunno man, just stating my thoughts. I know I have pretty much babled, but I hope this helps. |

![]() | Greenish color.....hmmmm....sounds like the factory made a bad batch...or they were assembled with cheapies. All of my Antec Tri-LED blue fans have faded from blinding bright to can't even see them unless every light in the house is off. The engineers on them didn't know how to calculate the proper resistance needed I guess.....at least the fans still work....LOL
